Cara

My wonderfully hormonal daughter.

Now thats a stare for radio. I was told to delete this picture but I love it.

So with a little help

I can now put some pictures up.
Jim needed a hair cut!

Snow Days!

Finally after spending years living on the moors we finally got some serious snow. I dutifully informed my boss that I would be working from home. I put the phone down, grabbed the children and ran out with the sledge.

No work done, I am battered and brusied beyond belief, stunned at the fact that I am no longer a child, what a disappointment. It was the best time I have had in ages!

I will post some snow pictures when I get a little more time and suss out how to transferred them from my phone.

Rollercoaster

For the past two weeks I have felt like I am on the slow steady climb up the rollercoaster track, now I sit on the summit looking down at the highs and lows and loop the loops of the next 10 days, for Christmas is upon us.

I wish I had more time at home rather than the one day but thats the way retail goes. So the question is have I got it right? Will my orders of basic essentials cover me for the days that I have no deliveries on, it boils down to a little guesswork, a lot of faith and maybe a small amount of knowledge, hardwork and slaving over many sales reports.

So I am holding my breath and waiting for the drop into the week, fingers crossed..... here goes.

A few too many germs

So I have managed to finally get a cold, I begged pleaded with anyone who was sniffling not to come near me. Granted I have very little sympathy and yes I know I told you all to "tell someone who cares" but seriously why did I bother with such a request, it was like a red rag to a bull, you all flocked around and smothered me with sneezes and coughs.

You know who you all are, following me round like shadows, well I hope your satisfied, just remember this, what goes around, comes around. Dont look behind you as you might just see me standing there. ;D

Courses

Very important and very necessary to enable me to do my job. Well thats what I am told, today on the other hand was what I considered an important one.

What is the best kind of learning environment, a quiet room perhaps? Well I think a small room with no windows, broken air conditioning and cramming 17 people in is perhaps not the best. It was hot, long and by this afternoon, I not only prayed for the grim reaper to come and rescue me but I no longer cared what was being said.

A 2 hour drive there and back did nothing for my wonderful sense of humour. In fact I think I must have sounded a lot like Mutley from the wacky races, negotiating the M5 on the way home.

A day off?

Always an interesting term. What does a day off mean to me? Well in an ideal world it means, chilling out, watching a little tv, pottering around the house.

What really happens? Frogmarching the kids to school, speed walking the dog at least 5 miles, washing, cleaning etc. 4 phone calls from work (they like to make me think I am missed). Collect children from school, crash out at about 7.30 pm in front of the pc.

Sometimes I miss the old days...
